Cannot believe the novella is that old! My family didn't fly fish, and they only regular-fished on the bayou or the Atchafalaya instead of anywhere clear and rippling, but they, too, in their way were so dedicated to the craft. I, who got a hook in my knee as a kid (why was I kneeling on the poles? No one knows) still don't quite get the draw, but I love how much y'all love fishing.
