PREMONITION
Why do I get the feeling
that the ticking of the clock
is actually
the roller coaster car of my life
ratcheting toward the first
unseen
stomach-dropping
plummet
of the new year?

Can't decide if that plummet is good or bad! That race toward the bottom can be exhilarating!
