Did you take the photo? It's very nice. I love the composition, light, and the way the sky is cropped out, leaving just the altered door (we make accommodations in this life, don't we?) and the whisper of advertising in the peeling paint.

The moon has been spectacular all week. This morning, I took the dogs out, then had to run back in the house and get my phone so I could take a picture. A little later, one of my dear friends, who is vacationing in Cancun with her family posted a really similar picture. I was struck by how the moon looks the same everywhere.
Mary Lee, your doors to the past remind me to be cautious on how I proceed into 2016. Carol, I was also struck by the different photos of the moon from sources other than my own neighborhood. Unfortunately, I did not capture it. I like the religious connotation that you added to your haiku.

Yes, it's my photo. One of the rare times I've bothered to use a filter. It's a building here in Burlington.
