Epitaph for a Childhood

Your days were unhurried,
unworried, unvaried.

Then came the jobs, the bills,
a mortgage, a marriage.

You're not really gone,
just buried.

  1. Just buried.

    Oh so true.

Your poems are inspiring me to write again. It's been a very jarring couple months, hard to focus. Too much buried.
