Found

Squirrels
nip the tips
off branches.

You can tell
because the cut
is slanted.

The size of oak's leaves
has doubled
in a week.

Some are cupped
(to receive sun?)
all are fuzzy.

Look at the table.
This is how shade happens in spring:
suddenly.

  2. I had that wonderful, YES, moment when I read those last lines. I love a poem that leads me through some great images and then leaves me with a YES at the end. Wow.
