This Is Just To Say
I am not reading
the books
that patiently wait
on my shelves
and which
I should probably
have read
by now
Forgive me
I will read again
someday
maybe today

That's happening to lots of us! Why? How? I came out on this porch to read THERE, THERE and then ended up talking to my neighbor (20 feet apart) and writing a letter to my mom, with whom I had video lunch just 6 hours ago! Your mentee poem is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same problem! I can read poetry, and listen to podcasts (especially poetry), but I don't have the concentration for a book right now.
