Yikes! Can't even imagine what yesterday's flight was like. Glad you got here safely. I have done that holding pattern over the eastern plains many times, usually in rough weather. It's beautiful, even when it's bumpy!
Love this line; "around and a round." Couldn't help but wonder if some of the turbulence over IA might be caused by hot air; I've felt blasts of it as the caucuses approach. I'll bet it's good to see the CO landscape again. I'm looking forward to more poems from the big sky.
