Better late than never, right? We had a blizzard- about ten inches of snow! And we got the day off, which really hardly does ever happen, like maybe once every two years. I graded papers most of the day.

Mary Lee- such a quiet peaceful image. I love imagining you writing like this. Steve- I think the layering of the rusty plow and an old friendship is another perfect comparison. I'm seeing my college roommate on Thursday night. And it really will be just like that. Carol- I already left comments on your blog.
That image is wonderful..."minutes like sugar in tea" and the quiet of that scratching. Love this.
ReplyDeleteOld friends are great to have...

a rusty plow

melts the years
Thank you for this quiet moment as I eat my next meal of the day, my lunch.
DeleteYour poem melts the stress from my shoulders.
I need to breathe...this last week before break
Mary Lee and Steve, thank you for the lovely poetry to start my morning.
ReplyDeleteHere is my addition to today's poetry: A Simple Reminder=>http://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2015/12/a-simple-reminder.html
